In what areas is OptiMODE used?

Modal analysis is a key element of optical structure modeling. OptiMODE is an advanced CAD platform for the analysis and design of waveguide structures. This tool allows users to explore various waveguide structures in detail, identify supported modes, and determine key characteristics such as mode profile and effective refractive index.

OptiMode is available as a standalone application or integrated with Optiwave’s component-level propagation tools, OptiFDTD and OptiBPM. In this integrated form, OptiMode can be used for modal injection in source components, enabling precise modeling and analysis of waveguide modes in the context of broader optical simulations.
